Preparation for replacing the 250 G7 battery

1. Turn oƫ the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is oƫ or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer

Step 1:Remove the bottom cover:

1. Peel the rubber feet oƫ the bottom of the computer
2. Remove the 10 Phillips M2.5 × 9.0 screws that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
3. Starting near the middle, bottom of the bottom cover , pry the cover up to remove it .

Step 2:Remove the battery:

1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 8.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.
2. Remove the battery from the computer (2).

Step 3:Installing a new battery :

Reverse this procedure to install the battery.

Step 4:Install the bottom cover

Reverse this procedure to install the bottom cover.

Note: When installing the 250 G7 battery, be sure to install screws in the proper locations. The following image shows the locations around the battery that have holes but do NOT require screws.
